This talk will provide an overview about the different Open Source solutions
currently available to provide High Availability with Linux. Solutions
discussed will include:
- The Linux Virtual Server project
- Various failover clustering solutions, and techniques they use to cope
with specific failure scenarios: heartbeat and Linux FailSafe
- Shared storage solutions currently available on Linux, (Global File
System, Fibre-Channel, shared SCSI)
- drbd as a special case of shared storage without the price of shared
storage hardware.
If we have enough interest, we will continue discussing questions in a BOF
session.
