Abstract

One of the major developments in Solaris 11 is the new networking stack, known as the Crossbow Project. This adds extensive networking vitalization capabilities and resource management, as well as a framework for driving high speed networking efficiently. This talk elaborates on the Crossbow features and how they tie together with other pperating system components.

Biography

Andrew is Solaris technical specialist in Oracle's hardware division, acquired with Sun Microsystems. Andrew frequently presents on various topics related to Solaris. Previously, Andrew worked in Solaris Kernel Engineering and was one of the original Solaris Zones developers. Andrew has also worked in the Finance industry, using Solaris to provide 24x7 real-time credit card authorization and transaction processing.
