The practice of monitoring and tuning for performanceSpeaker: Andrew Nelson AbstractPerformance tuning is something almost every systems administrator has been asked to do at some point. A quick Internet search can yield hundreds of links on parameters to change and hardware to consider, but is your performance tuning actually making a difference? It's also very easy to end up with worse performance by overtuning. In this presentation Andrew will discuss the methodologies for successful performance tuning and some pointers on how to leverage monitoring tools such as Zabbix to assist in the process.
